SCRIPT LAB: Director Kimberly Levin Talks Indie Film & "Runoff" with Meredith Alloway

October 7, 2014

"NYC grad Kimberly Levin's directorial debut has already garnered praise after premiering at the LA Film Festival. She's proven that female directors can take on the thriller genre and begin to re-invent it. Runoffcenters on small farm town in Kentucky. Betty, the matriarch of the family, soon discovers a dangerous secret and must make a decision about who she will sacrifice. Levin and I got to chat at the festival about shooting in Kentucky, getting the indie made and how her background in biochemistry influenced the themes of the film. "
